I just wanted to let you know that our Lord use you both to help us through an incredibly hard and bleak time. We have seen him prevail through it all. We praise him with you and for you.
Although we have not kept in touch or had additional coaching, we used what was taught and suggested. There are so many larger than life stories of Him providing for us and forgiving debts. We did choose “not” to claim bankruptcy although a lawyer strongly suggested that was our only hope. Through much prayer and waiting I felt it was not the way to go and He did confirm it three times for me, you were the first!
You may remember we were forced to close our business after spending all our savings and subsequently creating a great amount of debt. Well since then, and although I was unemployed 2 times in the last 3 years, we have just made a deal concerning the LAST credit card.
I have been working for a Kenworth Truck dealership for the last two years which has been terrific and a great financial blessing. They offered a 401K program where they match up to 4% of my salary. I mention this because I was able to take a low interest loan out to pay off the last credit card. We were able to negotiate what we owed down to 50% of what the balance was. I will be able to pay off the 401K loan in 24 months or less. We did not lose our home and were able to refinance back in 2011 and that was after we were forgiven a second mortgage. No more loans, no more second mortgage, no more credit card debt! We are even able to now “consider” refinancing our home and paying it off sooner.
It has been a long and hard journey, but the Lord used you to start the REDEMPTION process.
