Growing up, my parents instilled in me the value of genuine interest over peer influence, teaching me to cherish every dime. At 9, I embarked on my financial journey, saving up for a pair of Nikes with a year's worth of lunch money. Yet, despite mastering saving, a scarcity mindset lingered. By my teens, I borrowed from my family for a false sense of security, until my parents intervened, teaching me the harsh truths of debt.
In 2012, drowning in $30K of debt, shame and sleepless nights became my reality. Debt hindered my growth and barred me from investing in myself. Corporate life brought rewards, but sacrifices were immense - long commutes, missed family time, and disconnection from loved ones. The breaking point came when my boss refused my plea to pick up my newborn son from daycare, revealing the price of prioritizing family.
Now, fueled by a desire for independence, I'm committed to guiding others in sidestepping the errors I've made and establishing a solid financial foundation to lead a fulfilling life.
